This Serenade mountain dulcimer is currently on the workbench and being built. Made from beautifully figured Hawaiian Koa, it will feature a 27" scale length, diatonic fretboard with 1.5, 6.5, and 13.5 frets added. Strap buttons and a hardshell case are included. Optional LR Baggs pickup may also be added for $200. More photos will be added here as the build progresses.

Photo 1 - The top, back, and sides have been resawn, bookmatched, and rough sanded. In order to give you a good idea of the final color and grain, they have been lightly sprayed with denatured alcohol, which evaporates quickly and does not affect the moisture content of the wood.
Photo 2 - The top and back are sanded, cut out, and braced, and the soundholes have been cut.
Photo 3 - The sides, linings, and bindings are bent and the body is ready to assemble.
Photos 4 & 5 - The box (body) is closed and ready for bindings.
